How to Register to Vote in Washington

Washington residents can register to vote online, by mail, or in person. The state offers same-day voter registration, allowing you to register on Election Day at a voting center.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be a U.S. citizen.
  • Be a resident of Washington.
  • Be at least 18 years old by Election Day (you can pre-register at 16, but must be 18 to vote).
  • Not be serving a sentence for a felony conviction, unless your voting rights have been restored.
