Eligibility Requirements:
- Be a U.S. citizen.
- Be a resident of Rhode Island.
- Be at least 18 years old by Election Day (you can pre-register at 16, but must be 18 to vote).
- Not be imprisoned in a correctional facility due to a felony conviction.
- Not have been judged mentally incompetent to vote by a court.
Registration Methods:

- Register online using the Rhode Island Online Voter Registration System.
- You will need a valid Rhode Island driver’s license or state ID.
- By Mail:
- Complete the Rhode Island Voter Registration Form.

Same-Day Voter Registration for Presidential Elections:
- If you miss the regular registration deadline, you can still register to vote on Election Day for the presidential election only by visiting your designated polling place and providing proof of residence.
