How to Register to Vote in Oklahoma

Oklahoma residents can register to vote by mail or in person. Online registration is available for updates, but not for first-time registrations. The state does not offer same-day voter registration, so be sure to register before the deadline.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be a U.S. citizen.
  • Be a resident of Oklahoma.
  • Be at least 18 years old by Election Day (you can pre-register at 17.5 years old, but must be 18 to vote).
  • Not be convicted of a felony, unless your voting rights have been restored.
  • Not be declared mentally incapacitated by a court.

    • You can register in person at your county election board, tag agencies, and other authorized locations.
  3. Updating Your Registration Online:
    • You can update your voter registration information (address, party affiliation, etc.) online through the Oklahoma Online Voter Registration Portal, but first-time voters must register by mail or in person.

Registration Deadline:

  • The deadline to register is 25 days before Election Day. This applies whether you register by mail or in person.
